52 Pickup · Retroball Arcade · Last updated 11 August 2026
The game collects nothing about you. It has no servers, no accounts and no analytics. The only data collection is by the advertising it shows, which is handled by Google — not by us.
This policy covers the app 52 Pickup
(com.pickup52.card.game) on Google Play and the App Store.
Who we are
Retroball Arcade is a one-person games studio in the United Kingdom, and is the data controller for the limited processing described here.

What the game collects
Nothing. 52 Pickup contains no networking code of any kind — no analytics, no crash reporting, no accounts, no leaderboards, no cloud saves. It is unable to send us information about you, and we could not identify you if we wanted to.
What is stored on your device
The game keeps one small file on your device containing:
- Your settings — sound, chill mode, reduced motion, card size, slide sensitivity
- Which card back and table you have chosen
- Your best times, stars, and which levels you have unlocked
- How many rounds you have finished, and how many times you have tried a level
That file never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Uninstalling the app deletes it, and Settings → Reset all progress clears it at any time.
Advertising
52 Pickup shows advertising from Google AdMob: an occasional full-screen advert between rounds, and optional “watch a video” rewards you can always decline. Google acts as an independent controller for the data it collects.
Google's Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares the following in order to serve, measure and protect those adverts:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| IP address | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention |
| Interactions with adverts and the app | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention |
| Diagnostic information | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention |
| Device and advertising identifiers | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention |
All of it is encrypted in transit. It goes to Google, not to us — we see only aggregate totals such as how many adverts were shown, with nothing about who saw them. Google explains its own use of this data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and its Privacy Policy.
Your choices
Consent
In the UK and EEA, Google's consent form appears the first time you open the game and asks whether you accept personalised advertising. You can change your answer at any time from Settings → Ad Privacy inside the game. Choosing non-personalised advertising does not remove adverts; it means they are chosen without profiling you.
- Reset your advertising ID to break the link with past advert activity. Android: Settings → Google → Ads. iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Rewarded adverts are always optional and clearly labelled. Nothing in the game is locked behind watching one.
- Google Ad Settings: adssettings.google.com
Purchases
There are none. The shop is free — every card back and table is available from the start. There is no currency, nothing to unlock and nothing to buy. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first.
Permissions
52 Pickup requests internet access, used only to load adverts. It asks for nothing else — no camera, no microphone, no location, no contacts, and no access to storage beyond its own save file.
Children
52 Pickup is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child's data has been collected through the advertising in this app, contact us and we will help you direct a request to Google, who hold it.
Legal bases (UK GDPR)
- Consent — for personalised advertising, collected through Google's consent form where the law requires it. You may withdraw it at any time.
- Legitimate interests — for non-personalised advertising, fraud prevention and basic measurement, which are necessary to fund a free app.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Because we hold no personal data ourselves, requests about advertising data must go to Google, who hold it — email us and we will help you direct one.
You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
International transfers and retention
Google may process advertising data outside the UK, under the safeguards set out in its own privacy policy. We retain nothing ourselves; Google's retention periods are described in that same policy.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
